Fang cultural sphere, Cameroon / Gabon (attributed)
Wood with dark patina.
Height: 33 cm.
Circular mask with stylized facial features including heavy-lidded eyes, a triangular nose, smiling mouth and diagonal cheek scarification. Perforations around the perimeter indicate attachment of fiber or costume elements in performance contexts. The form and carving style correspond to Ekang (Ekanga) mask traditions of the Fang cultural region.
