Lega Lukwakongo mask
Bwami society, Democratic Republic of Congo
Height: 20 cm
Carved wooden mask of compact oval form with softly modeled features, small pierced eyes and a delicately shaped mouth. The face is divided by a subtle vertical ridge, giving the composition a balanced and harmonious expression.
The surface shows fine age patina with traces of wear and handling, consistent with traditional use. Small perforations along the rim for attachment.
