Carved wooden mask of rounded, heart-shaped form with gently arched brow, narrow slit eyes and a compact projecting nose. The calm, reserved expression and balanced proportions are characteristic of masks associated with the Bwami society. The sculptural modeling and presence relate to Idimu-type examples, while retaining a refined and restrained execution.

The surface shows layered patina with visible age wear and traces of handling, consistent with traditional use.
