Height: 31 cm
Carved wooden standing female figure with elongated neck decorated by ring-like bands and a small crest-like coiffure. The face shows stylized features with almond-shaped eyes, pursed lips, and scarification marks on the cheeks and temples.
The hands rest on the abdomen, emphasizing the slightly protruding belly, a posture associated with Lulua mbùlenga figures symbolizing fertility and protection. Additional carved decoration appears on the chest and hips.
Dark brown patina with visible age cracks and wear. 20th century.
